Winnie’s Bee Sting Scare

Winnie’s curiosity landed her in a spot of trouble—thanks to a bee. With a swollen face and shut eyes, this little pup needed urgent care. Thankfully, the Te Puna team was quick to act.

When Winnie arrived, her face was swollen, her eyes were closed, and her belly was red and irritated. She had clearly had a run-in with something, and Vet – Dr. Nore De Ridder soon discovered the culprit: a bee sting lodged in her mouth.

After carefully removing the stinger, Vet – Dr. Nore De Ridder gave her an antihistamine injection to quickly ease the reaction. Her red, irritated belly was treated with Neosoothe cream for extra comfort.

By the very next day, Winnie had bounced back completely—playful, bright-eyed, and feeling great again. A quick response made all the difference.
