Scoobie’s Stubborn Nose Infection: Finding the Right Treatment
Scoobie’s owner grew concerned when his nose became crusty, weepy, and irritated. Although an initial round of treatment showed some improvement, the symptoms soon returned. Thanks to the expertise of the Mount Maunganui team, Scoobie’s underlying issue was identified, leading to a full recovery.
When Scoobie first visited the clinic, he was prescribed antibiotics and steroids to treat his inflamed nose. At first, it seemed to help, but before long, the symptoms worsened again. The results confirmed that Scoobie had a Staph infection, a bacterial condition requiring targeted treatment. His nose healed, and he was back to enjoying life as his happy, healthy self.
